We initiate every month by encouraging all staff members to gather pep in their steps, groove, speak up, move, play around, have fun, to get rid of that stalemate energy that drowns them down owing to lurking deadlines, reasonable load of work, incessant pressure, and the need to upskill with rapidly changing technology.
Green Weekend Celebration
This August’s first weekend, we sprung back with a refreshing change of pace! All teams came together to plant trees and shake off that work-related stress. Our goal was to boost energy, encourage team spirit, and have fun while contributing to a greener planet.
Why is it called this way?
Indian PM, Mr. Narendra Modi launched the “One Tree for Mother” campaign on 5th June 2024, World Environment Day. It encourages people to plant, in honor of all the mothers, including mother Earth. This eventually facilitates a clean and green environment.
The campaign will be carried out by the Ministry of Defence, Defence Research and Development Organisation, defense public sector enterprises, Controller General of Defence Accounts, National Cadet Corps, military schools, and ordnance factories. As part of the campaign, approximately 1.5 million trees were planted across the country on August 15, 2024, during the 78th Independence Day celebrations.
To mark our contribution, we segregated ourselves into teams, and held baby plants, garden sickle, water bottles, and marched to nearby parks; we then posed for a group photograph and started digging soil to plant.
We request everyone to come up and be part of this pious act. Share your stories on social media with these hashtags: #Plant4Mother and #OneTreeForMother.
